ASEAN Sumit - Cebu, Philippines

Last January 12-15, 2007 marks another history stamped on the asian community and to the rest of the world as Cebu hosts the ASEAN Summit.



It was such an overwhelming oppurtunity and great pride of the cebuanos that it was succesfully done.

Pit Senyor

Pit Senyor, that was the greetings of everyone during the celebration of the Fiesta of Senor Sto. Nino here in Cebu City last Jan 21, 2007. This was attended by 50 different contingents from all over the country, well more of them from Cebu. Sinulogs Festival (mardi gras) marks the 27th year festival and as you can see in the pictures this is very colorful and full of people on the street watching, dancing and shouting the Pit Senyor. Also the festival was attended by celebrities and politicians . check out the pictures of the festivities.

Iligan City

I have the chance to visit Iligan City last Feb of 2006, this is where Maria Cristina Falls is located see the picture.

Iligan is located in the west part of mindanao, you have to pass cagayan de oro to get there is simply ride a ferry straight to Iligan.

If you happen to pass by cebu, you shouldn't forget the landmark of cebu, this is the place where it all began, the christianity of the Philippines. this is the cross of Magellan, although this is not the original (the original is already inside this cross) this still stands as the symbol of the christianity,where a great mass was made in March of 1521 ( i hope i got that correctly) see for your selves
