Baguio....the 2nd time around

Baguio (the city of Pines) ....the 2nd time around
BAGUIO...my 2nd time to visit the city of Pines and a lot of changes from my last visit which was sometime in May/June of 2005 but posted here in 2006.
This time around i got to spend 3 days in the city and roam around the areas and visited the cities attractions. I travelled via Victory Liner (https://www.victoryliner.com/ from Pasay (Manila) at around 11AM (fee is 455php per person) and arrived around 5PM.
I stayed in EL Cielito Inn Baguio located at 50 North Drive, Baguio City, Philippines, the location of this hotel/inn is very convenient as this is very near like 20 steps away from SM Baguio.
Here are the places we visited.
The Mansion
The mansion is the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines, thus the current resident is the President Mr. Rodrigo Duterte, but I believe he haven't gone to the place yet.
The Wright Park
Opposite the Mansion is the wright park, for me this is the famous area/garden type walkway going to the park itself which is below the walkway with people having horse back ride, taking pictures with traditional costumes.
Botanical Gardens
A little farther from the park which is walking distance only is the botanical gardens, we didn't went inside the gardens as we are not interested actually, be aware of the Old Residents near the gardens as they will be photo bombing in your selfies or you can included them in your group pictures for a small tip of course.
All 3 locations is done in 1 taxi ride, I suggest you go straight to the mansion and walk al the way to the botanical gardens that save a lot, there is no entrance fee to all of this sights.
The next day we visited some other sites such as:
Mines View Park
This park was a surprise for me, I really thought this is a huge park with so many places to go around but unfortunately no, this is a small park with only 1 straight walk way leading for a small area for picture purposes and view the probably the mines, I surely didn't see any mines but the view of the pines and the landscape was amazing.
within and outside the park area are stall selling souvenir's and jams 5 minutes away from the mines view park is where you can buy the famous Ube Jam (the good shepherd which they said was made by Nuns and its quite expensive at 300 a piece.
Burnham Park
This is an urban park located at the heart of the city. during my visit sometime in 2005, this park is very quite and not a lot of people were roaming around, but this time its full packed with people maybe because it was a holiday (eid al adha) so that is why.
Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto
This 252 steps./stair going to the grotto is located at the Dominican Hill Road a 50php taxi ride, going to the grotto and enduring that 252 steps is very exhilarating and worth the climb. Not just you sacrifice something to visit but the view from above specially the fog is really amazing to see.
The last day of our trip was just a visit to SM Baguio, buying some souvenir's and enjoying some night life.
so that was the 3 day stay
Transportation       455 per person                       455.00
